Scrappin' My Life Away

Thank Goodness for Scrapbooking! It is what has kept me sane this long, cold winter. This is a photo of my Valentine's Day gifts for Madeline's Grandparents. The books are 4x6 saddle stitch books that I made using the textured cardstock that comes in the Crew Kids-Girl Simply Scrappin' kit. The clip board is SU! 8x8 OnBoard, also decorated with the same kit - this was my gift to myself.

Who's your sweetheart?

Take some time this weekend to make a special card for all the sweeties in your life. Lori M made is soooo cute envelope card with the Happy Hearts stamp set and Berry Bliss Paper. She even covered the heart with beads - now there is some bling!

This week I've of taken a bunch of time to update the albums on this blog, take a look down the left side of the screen:

• "My Favorites" includes cards and projects from the 2008 Spring Summer collection.
• "3-D Projects" has photos of items that I've made in the last few months, even it's a Christmas project, it can easily be revised to make a darling Easter gift. In coming months, I will be posting many more of these projects - I love making little gifts with my stamping supplies!
• "Sale-A-Bration" contains samples of cards made with the sets that you can get only-for-free until March 17th. I will be adding more cards towards the end of next week.
• "Pages-by-Post" and "Stamps-by-Mail" include the samples for both groups. It's not too late to get in on these, just drop me an email if you happen to fall in love with these samples. This is a great way to learn new techniques, and build your collection of supplies, and get your projects done.

Think Spring!

How do you know when winter has gone on just too long? When your 3-year old, looks out the window and says "Yes, it's snowing again" in a tone that sure isn't as excited as it was in November.

In the meantime, I've been scrapbooking up a storm! Between Pages-by-Post and the Layouts2Love crop (this Saturday) I've already completed 5 sets of pages this year! And I've got 2 more to do before Saturday! It's not too late for you to take advantage of either of these, just drop me an email if you are interested.

Friday night I just wanted to make a card, so I pulled out this set, Always, to play with. The base is Groovy Guava, with Groovy Guava designer series paper, a Chocolate Chip Layer, and then a layer of Chocolate Chip stamped on Blush Blossom and Groovy Guava sponged around the edges. The hearts are stamped with Chocolate Chip Craft Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder on Blush and Guava cardstock, then I sponged both hearts with Guava to create depth. Tied it all up with double-stitched Guava Grosgrain (pronounced Grow-grain).
