Perfect Day for Shattered Glass

To create shattered glass, stamp your image with classic ink and watercolor if you wish. Then, cover the entire piece of the main image card stock with Versamark; sprinkle with Clear Glossy Glaze and heat, repeat. Put the image in the freezer, or outside, until it is frozen. As soon as you take it out, bend the card stock to "shatter". See, these brisk days are good for something.

Whew, I almost forgot.

Today's card features the simple watercolor technique; with your ink pad closed, squeeze the top to the bottom (this leaves ink on the inside of the cover). Use the Aquapainter to pick up the ink and paint onto your image. Tip: start with the lightest color of ink, and clean the Aquapainter by swiping it on your scrap paper between colors.

Day 2 - Meeting my goal, so far

Poppin' Pastels is a load of fun to do, kind of like writing with invisible ink (vinegar) when we were kids, only much prettier. Stamp the image with Versamark; because Versamark is a pigment ink it stays wet for a bit, so you can stamp the entire background. Then, I loaded daubers with Old Olive, More Mustard, and Ruby Red pastels; and swirled over the images - the pastels stick to the Versamark and leave a slight halo of color all through the background. Also, chalk up a piece of sponge with Chocolate Chip, and swirl around the outside edge to antique the card even more. Tip: start swirling on your scrap paper and work onto your card, this leaves any "blobs" of chalk on the scrap paper.

Last week I demo'd this at a workshop, and the guest's cards turned out more beautiful than mine!
